A new general manager has been appointed at Roscommon Mart.
It comes following the retirement of Maura Quigley who took up the position in January 2012 and had been employed with the society since 1977.
Following a competitive recruitment process Elphin native Tony Conry will take up the post in October.

Mr Conry has extensive experience in the financial and agricultural sectors and is a recent business graduate of the Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management in Dublin.
He says he plans to work with all the directors, shareholders, staff members and stakeholders to maximise the returns for all who support the mart business.
