New planning application could see construction of Longford's tallest building

Planning permission is being sought to transform a Longford office development into one of the county's tallest buildings.

Beacon Assets Management is seeking permission for a three storey extension over an existing three storey building at the N4 Axis Centre outside Longford Town

The project would consist of a mixed use development of commercial, office, retail, leisure and medical units.

Plans submitted to Longford County Council state the proposed extension would be constructed in line with the existing building and newly constructed Pizza Hut extension.

If successful, the development would be the tallest commercial building in Longford.

Longford County planners will decide on the case in October.
