New public park in Monksland to be finished by the end of the year

A major public park in Monksland will be finished by the end of the year, according to a councillor. Working are ongoing on the development, after it got state funding of nearly €800,000.

It will include a skatepark, a playground and walking trails beside Monksland Business Park. Local Fianna Fáil councillor John Keogh says it will be a welcome addition to the highly populated area.
