That's according to figures provided by PARC; An Garda Siochana; and the Road Safety Authority which show that Cavan and Monaghan have recorded five deaths each on the roads during 2022.
Sligo is now being classed as the most dangerous county in the country with six deaths on its road so far this year - an increase of five on last year.
Roscommon recorded four deaths; Longford, two; and just one person died on Leitrim roads during 2022.
Meanwhile, Monaghan has witnessed a rate of 7.72 fatal collisions per 100,000 population.
