The newest member of Roscommon County Council says she's looking forward to working with the community as part of her new role,.
21 year old Emer Kelly from Ballyforan has been selected to replace Ivan Connaughton as an Independent Councillor for the Athlone electoral area.
Councillor Connaughton will resign his seat following next Monday's meeting of the local authority, after growing frustrated with the progress at local level.

Emer is studying occupational health and is currently on placement at Portiuncula Hospital.
