A new scholarship aimed at helping former prisoners access higher education is beginning at the Athlone Campus of TUS.
The KickStart Scholarship Fund , established by the Irish Probation Service and supported by the Prison Service will see financial support for people with convictions enrolling in undergraduate study.
Two of the scholarships will be available at the Athlone campus and are open to new undergraduate students who have applied to study there this year, as well as those who have already enrolled.
