The school's committee met Taoiseach Simon Harris in Carrick last week to discuss their need for a new school building.
He told them a decision would be made shortly.
Cormac Flynn went to Scoil Mhuire as a child and is running for Sinn Fein in Carrick in the local elections - he supports their campaign.
