Planning permission has been lodged for a new sports facility in Athlone.
Athlone Squash Club has applied to Westmeath County Council to construct three indoor squash courts in Cloughanboy on the north side of the town
Also included in the plans are changing facilities, equipment storage areas, toilets, and disabled changing facilities, as well as an outdoor padel court.

Westmeath County planners will decide on the issue at the end of May.
