Ireland's Weather Channel says Storm Herminia will delay the restoration of electricity and water after Storm Eowyn.
It will hit Ireland tomorrow morning.
Climate scientist Cathal Nolan said: "Storm Herminia is expected to bring some strong winds, especially to the south and southwest of the country.
"For ourselves in the Shannonside region, we will see winds of between 70 to 80 kilometres per hour, which ordinarily wouldn't be of concern.
"However, given we have seen the particularly strong winds from Storm Eowyn, there are a number of structures and trees that are quite loose still at the moment, so they may come down with winds of that strength.
"So there is cause for concern.
"We are likely to see a delay to the return of some services - like water and electricity - given the conditions.
"And it is likely to be a longer lasting storm system than Storm Eowyn.
"It will commence in the Shannonside region at around 8am on Sunday, and those winds will persist for a quite number of hours, before falling off.
"However, we see a second swathe of winds as we go into Sunday night and into Monday as well."
