A new survey has found 3 in 10 people in Longford believe Artificial Intelligence will impact or replace their jobs in the future.
The report carried out by FRS recruitment shows how a number of issues are impacting the local market, from technology to cost of living and from job security to salary concerns.
It found 38% of people in Longford fear for their job security while 41% would consider a pay cut if their job was at risk.
General Manager of FRS recruitment Lynne McCormack says both local employers and employees are carefully watching how AI technology is evolving.
"There's a lot of conversation and focus around AI particularly over the last few months so I think it's understandable that people are concerned and looking at the region, Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon, there are slight ups and downs, slight variations with Leitrim coming in above the national average".
