Gardai are reported to have identified a new suspect in the murder of Ashling Murphy.
It's understood Gardai are keeping the individual under surveillance, and the person is undergoing treatment in hospital.

An official garda statement issued just after half past five this evening is refusing to confirm the reports of a new suspect
'Gardaí continue to investigate the fatal assault on Ashling Murphy that occurred at approximately 4pm on Wednesday, 12th January, 2022, along the canal bank at Cappincur, Tullamore, County Offaly.
Significant progress has been made in the investigation to date.
