The Minister responsible for Direct Provision says it's important we have a dignified system for asylum seekers.
An expert group led by Catherine Day is recommending a new system, which would see people stay in temporary State accommodation for 3 months before being moved to local authority housing.
The group's findings, which are due to be published today, will inform the Government White Paper on ending Direct Provision.
Children's Minister Roderic O'Gorman says the White Paper will be completed by the end of this year.
