New traffic lights are now in operation at a previously dangerous junction in a west Roscommon village. Long-awaited safety works have now completed at the junction in Frenchpark which had been considered an accident blackspot.
Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane said the lights were switched on this week and would make the road safer for motorists. She said she had campaigned for the safety measure for a number of years and that it would save lives. Speaking to Shannonside News, Deputy Kerrane said it was positive news for the village.
