New visiting times are being implemented at Portiuncula Hospital from today.
Visitors will be able to access the hospitals during two specific windows during the afternoon and evening.
Access to the hospital is limited to one person, per patient per day and people can see loved ones between two and four PM and six and eight PM each day
Hospital management is also urging any visitors to wear a mask in all areas of the hospital at all times and practice good hand hygiene regularly during their time in the hospital.
Access for visitors to outbreak wards is limited to compassionate grounds only at this time and these visits should be arranged in advance by calling the hospital and speaking with the nurse manager.
There are separate arrangements in place for access to the maternity department for nominated support partners.
