A new website to update the public on progress on the N61 Ballymurray to Knockccroghery bypass is live.
The selection of a preferred route to address traffic volumes and safety concerns is expected to be made public in November or December according to Director of Services at Roscommon County Council Shane Tiernan.
The coming weeks will see preliminary ground investigation works in the catchment which stretches as far as Lecarrow which is also included as one of the bypass options.
The website www.n61roscommon.ie will share information from previously published documents to the latest news and upcoming consultations.
