Nine farming related deaths were reported across the country in 2021

Farming still accounts for the highest number of workplace deaths in Ireland, according to new figures from the Health and Safety Authority.

In 2021 there were 9 farming related fatalities, a drop from 20 the previous year.

Overall, there's been a 30 per cent decrease in workplace deaths.

Mark Cullen from the HSA says they will continue to work closely with farmers in the new year.
