A Roscommon TD says there is no excuse that there are still vacancies to be filled at the E-Mental health hub in Castlerea over 18 months after it first opened.
Claire Kerrane raised the issue of a funding gap for the former Rosalie Unit between 2020 and July of last year with Minister for Mental Health Mary Butler in the Dail.
She demanded to know why funding was not provided in the first seven months of last year to staff the unit.
The claim was denied by the Minister who outlined that €800,000 was allocated in 2020 and 1.4m was provided to staff the facility in 202
The Dail also heard that five psychiatry for older people roles remain unfilled and three positions in the CAMHS service are at an advanced stage of being recruited for.
The Sinn Fein TD says it's simply not good enough
