Longford, Roscommon and Leitrim are three of only five counties nationwide to receive no funding from the Governments Home Building Finance Ireland Scheme since it was set up in 2019.
The grant provides funding directly to builders to construct homes for owner occupiers, renters and those in need of social housing.
Since its inception, the H.B.F.I has approved funding of 1.25 billion euro to build 5,717 new homes across 21 counties.
According to figures released to Cavan Monaghan TD Brendan Smith, none of these homes have been built in the Shannonside region.
Sligo and Cavan have also seen no houses or apartments built from these supports over the last 4 years.
