Tents are being set up at CityQWest to provide shelter for people seeking refuge here.

The State has run out of beds to house incoming refugees.

Representatives from the Department of Children told a meeting of Irish charities supporting Ukrainian refguees that the Citywest facility has now reached capacity and no other contigency plan is in place.

The Government is scrambling to find alternative accommodation for refugees, as the current facilities reach capacity.

The accommodation centre at Citywest in Dublin is full, with over 1,000 people living there.

New arrivals and those coming into the country in the next two days may have to stay at Dublin Airport, unless they have arranged alternative accommodation themselves.

It's believed Gormanstown Army Camp in Co Meath will be used to house to those fleeing war.

For now, the Government has had to pause the intake of refugees and will meet today to put a contingency plan in place.
