People across Roscommon and Longford are being invited to nominate young people they may know for the annual Garda Youth Awards.
The awards recognise individuals and groups who make positive contributions to their community, overcome difficulty circumstances, or help make their communities safer.
A special recognition award has also been added last year to celebrate acts of bravery.
Garda Inspector Dave Cryan says a number of young people from the region have gone on to be celebrated at a national level for their achievements and they want to see people putting these special young members of society forward for the awards.
"We have amazing people in Roscommon and Longford and we just really want to really encourage people. Any Garda Station you go into or online, get the nomination forms and we're encouraging as many people as possible to get people into us".
