Non-church weddings have become increasingly popular in Ireland.
According to last year's statistics from the CSO, 13,797 couples chose to marry in other locations, while just over 9000 were married in the Catholic Church.
Loraine Greaney is a community celebrant and an inter-faith minister from Carrick-on-Shannon.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, she explained that her work involves bringing in a religious element to the ceremonies of couples who wish to marry in locations outside the church.
