19 cases of Covid were recorded in the north Roscommon region between the 8th and 21st of this month.

The national average is 70.7.

New figures from the Government's Covid hub reveals updated information on the spread of Covid in Local Electoral Areas.

According to the new information, 11 cases have been recorded in the Athlone-Roscommon LEA and five in the wider Roscommon town LEA in the 14 day period to bring a total of 35 in the timeframe with the addition of the Boyle figures.

However, the figures are only up to the 21st of this month - which means they will not take into account over a dozen new cases of Covid recorded this week so far in all of County Roscommon.

Less than five cases were recorded in the Carrick on Shannon and Manorhamilton LEA's between the 8th and 21st of this month, but five cases were reported in the Ballinamore LEA which reflects a lessening of cases in the county overall after an apparent cluster at the beginning of the month.

It means Carrick's rate per 100,000 has dropped from 132 last weekend, to just over 70 as of today.

In Longford seven cases were recorded in the Longford LEA and less than 5 in Granard and Ballymahon in the same two-week period.
