A north Roscommon business is closing down because of the "ever-increasing cost of business" and "strong competition from supermarkets". Arigna Foodstore and Deli has announced it's shutting down, in a post on Facebook.
It marks the end of an era as there has been a shop in the premises for several decades. Fine Gael General Election Candidate, Dympna Daly Finn who's from Arigna, has been paying tribute to the owners:
