North West 200 cancellation a disappointment for all

On the motorcycle road racing front, as noted last week the North West 200 has been cancelled for this year.

The very popular event which is hosted by the Coleraine and District Motor club attracts up to 90,000 spectators to the closed road circuit that takes in Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine.

Kieran Brennan has owned and managed racing teams that have competed at the event and he remarked that while everyone involved with the sport are disappointed to see it cancelled for this year, they all understand that it is the right decision
