A volunteer with North West hospice in Sligo/Leitrim says the work is hugely rewarding and necessary to the success of the community based service.
Gabriel began volunteering with the hospice after his family availed of the service when his mother died in 2013.
He says many people choose to volunteer in thanks for help they've received at a very difficult time in their lives.
Gabriel acts as a driver for people who need to attend hospital appointments or treatment at the hospice unit itself and says it's a privilege to be able to help the people involved……
