We could be set to witness more dramatic nighttime skies in the Shannonside region. It follows last night's spectacular Northern Lights display which saw various colours lighting up the night sky. Social media has been awash since last night with dramatic photos of the Aurora, which last appeared over Irish skies in May.
It's due to geomagnetic and weather conditions bringing the lights into view. Speaking to Shannonside News, David Moore from Astronomy Ireland says it'll be a more regular occurrence over the next few months.
