Gardai investigating the disappearance of Deirdre Jacob have found nothing of evidential value in a search for her remains in Co Kildare.
The search for clues into her disappearances got underway earlier this month.
Several years after Deirdre Jacob vanished in July 1998, someone came forward saying they saw someone drag something out of the boot of a car in a wooded area on the Kildare/Wicklow border on the night she disappeared.
Gardai who are carrying out a cold case review into her disappearance and murder decided to carry out an intensive search on this land– which is about 15 kilometres where Deirdre was last seen.
The search was due to take three weeks but today – just over two weeks into it – gardai say they have found nothing of evidential value.
The families of Deirdre Jacob and JoJo Dullard have been notified.
Separately during the course of the search, the remnants of a previously undiscovered historical settlement were identified and the National Monuments Service has been notified.
