The taxi industry is slowly declining across the Shannonside Northern Sound region.
It comes as a recent National Transport Authority report outlines a local 24% decrease of taxis since the last decade.
National Transport Authority data from the end of August shows a significant shortage of taxis across the nation.
Leitrim holds the lowest number of taxis in the country at only 49, a decrease of 39% since 2013's figures.
The authority reports 67 taxis in Monaghan, 76 in Longford, and 107 in Roscommon.
Westmeath is the county with the highest number of taxis in the region at 243, followed up by Cavan at 108.
Nationally, there are 19 571 taxis as of this year.
The figures symbolise the declining condition of the taxi industry, with the current national decrease of taxis standing at 11% since 2013.
