The number of home completions in the Shannonside region is on the increase.
According to the latest CSO figures, dwelling completions in the region went up between the first 3 months of 2023 and 2024. The most recent release from the Central Statistics Office breaks down the number of homes completed in quarter 1 of this year. According to the data, Roscommon had the highest number of homes built in the region during this period at 56. This is an increase on 37 the same time last year. Longford also experienced an increase in home completions with 32 finished in the first 3 months of this year, up from 17 in Quarter 1 of 2023. Dwelling completions in Leitrim decreased from 37 to 18 between Q1 of 2023 to Q1 of 2024.
Nationally, 5,841 home completions were recorded in the first 3 months of this year.
