There has been an increase in the number of people made homeless across the Shannonside Northern Sound region between June and August of this year
The latest figures show that Monaghan and Cavan experienced the largest increase in people accessing emergency accommodation, from 96 in June to 108 in August.
Other counties in the region also experienced an increase including the Leitrim-Donegal region, from 29 to 37, and Longford, from 14 to 20.
Roscommon remained the same with 10.
On average, the majority of people who are homeless in the region are between the ages of 25 and 44.
Nationally, over 7 and a half thousand people are currently homeless.
