Roscommon Gardaí carried out a number of traffic stops over the weekend.
In the first incident a driver was pulled over for having no tax for 159 days.
It was also discovered that the driver was an unaccompanied learner without L plates or an NCT.

Their vehicle was seized and proceedings have begun
Meanwhile a delivery driver was also stopped in the Roscommon area for using their mobile phone while driving.
The driver also had no tax on the vehicle.

Their vehicle was impounded, and the driver was handed a €180 fine and three penalty points
