The number of patients accessing Mayo Roscommon Hospice palliative care services rose significantly in 2022.
That's according to the foundation's CEO Martina Jennings who says referrals for the home care service is expected to be over 1,000 people .
Earlier this year the local hospice launched its five year strategy which included 2,600 home help hours for palliative patients.
The hospice not only provides care for cancer patients but is also seeing an increase in motor neurone and COPD patients.
Speaking to Shannonside FM said the work of hospice continues to grow and she paid tribute to foundation's team and those who fundraised over the year.
