Minor issues have been identified at a nursing home in Westmeath.
HIQA's latest report follows an inspection of the Cluain Lir Community Nursing Unit in Mullingar.
The Cluain Lir Community Nursing Unit on the outskirts of Mullingar was the subject of an unannounced inspection in May of this year.
On arriving at the facility, inspectors noted that residents appeared to be content and relaxed in the company of staff.
The report highlighted the warm and bright environment of the nursing home, complete with coloured plants, outdoor areas and a hairdressing room.
A report released by HIQA today shows Cluain Lir Community Nursing Unit has recorded 8 full compliances and 6 substantial compliances.
Only one non compliance was found on the grounds of the management of challenging behaviour in the nursing home.
The report findings show that while residents were provided with nutritious food, inspectors found that some residents were not aware what they were having for dinner as menus were not made available by the nursing unit.
Inspectors also noted that lack of internet access, which had been raised by residents in February, the issue had not yet been resolved on the day of inspection.
An action plan was outlined in the HIQA report addressing all raised issues.
