Physical examinations that were to take place at IT Sligo from this Wednesday have been cancelled.
The exams will now take place online due to high level of Covid cases in the country.
The President of IT Sligo Student's Union, Daire Martin has welcomed the announcement and thanked Minister Frank Feighan and TD Marian Harkin for their support to reach this outcome.

The Monaghan native said that the students union always advocated that student safety is priority and he welcomes the decision wholeheartedly.
