Over two-hundred women from across the Shannonside Northern Sound region accessed termination of pregnancy services last year.
The Department of Health has for the first time published details of the number of women who availed of abortion services last year.
6,666 abortions were carried out in Ireland in the first year the service was made legally available.
Last year, more than 6,500 terminations took place during early pregnancy, while 144 happened as there was a risk to the life of the child or woman.
625 terminations were carried out in January, which was the highest monthly figure recorded last year.
Seventy-seven women in Cavan accessed abortion services, while forty-seven women who gave an address in Longford also had abortion carried out.
Forty-three women from Roscommon, as well as thirty-six from Monaghan and twenty-seven from Leitrim had abortions last year.
In total 230 women from the region and the Department of Health says 67 women from Northern Ireland had travelled here for the service.
