91 percent of local planning applications considered in 2021 were given the go ahead.
910 applications were considered by county planners in Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon over the 12 month period according to the Planning regulator.
Nationally, the grant rate for permissions in 2021 was 88.5 percent, with the Shannonside region seeing higher levels on average.
Leitrim County planners recorded the highest rate of permission grants, with 96 percent of eligible applications given the greenlight leading to 204 permissions and 9 refusals.
Leitrim also saw a reduction in the submission of invalid planning permissions down from 18 percent to 13 percent.
Longford saw the next highest rate of permissions at 92 percent leaving 289 applicants with the go ahead and 25 without.
Just 6 percent of all submitted planning applications to Longford County Council were deemed invalid.
Planners in Roscommon saw the lowest local rate of grants, coming in under the national average at 87 percent, meaning that out of 477 plans, 417 were grated and 60 denied.
The county was also the only one locally to see an increase in the rate of invalid applications submitted, jumping from 22.5 percent in 2020 to 26 percent of all submitted plans last year.
