People from across the Shannonside Northern Sound region are being invited to take part in a Mission Day online this morning.
The St Patrick's Missionary Society or Kiltegan Fathers, which assists communities in Nigeria and around the world, normally travel through Ireland and host missions in various parishes - however this has not been possible this year.
The Society has many close links with priests in the region, Monsignor Patrick Whitney one of its founders was originally from Drumboylan and served in the diocese of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise.
Many other priests have spent time with the order in its county Wicklow base as well as overseas.
