The new modular building at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe is expected to be operating from Monday, 26th April.
The building will provide for 14 temporary COVID-19 ED minor injuries treatment or assessment rooms with support facilities.
The process to select a contractor for the construction of the 50 Bed Ward Block at Portiuncula are currently being evaluated with advertising for shortlisted contractor is planned for the coming months. The building works to the Flouroscopy room are also now complete, with further works to Radiology, Public toilets, x-ray Room 2, changing and cleaner store are due to commence once this room is operational.
