The planned extension to the refugee centre in Ballaghaderreen would cause noise and disturbance - and would also devalue properties. That's according to local resident Irene Caulfield, from Kilcolman. She's one of those who have objected to the 18 extra bedrooms proposed for the Abbeyfield Hotel Eroc.
Today is the deadline for lodging a submission with Roscommon County Council. Local councillor Micheál Frain says there's lots of opposition:
