A local councillor says he's opposed to plans to accommodate refugees at the former Cuisle facility in Roscommon. Cllr Anthony Waldron has called for the former Irish Wheelchair Association Respite Centre to be reopened. He's been speaking ahead of a public meeting tonight at Donamon Castle to discuss an approach from the Department of Integration. The Department is seeking feedback from the Divine Word Missionaries about the prospect of accommodating more people under International Protection at the site. The former Cuisle rooms and facilities have been used to house Ukrainian refugees for the past number of years. Speaking to Shannonside News, Cllr Waldron says the Department hasn't provided much detail as to its future plans:
