OPW Minister Patrick O' Donovan has agreed to convene of all the key stakeholders to explore measures to address the ongoing threat of flooding within the vicinity of Lough Funshinagh in south Roscommon.
It follows the continual rise of flood waters over the Christmas holidays and more information on flood levels there presently.
Local Independent Deputy Denis Naughten says he was in contact with both the Agriculture Minister and Minister O' Donovan during the holidays due to the changing situation on the ground.
