The OPW Minister is visiting south Roscommon on Thursday to update residents about the flood-relief works planned for Lough Funshinagh.
It comes after Taoiseach Simon Harris revealed a planning application for interim works is due to be submitted next month.
The waters levels around the turlough remain high and there are fears of homes being flooded this winter.

Independent councillor Laurence Fallon says Minister Kieran O'Donnell's visit to the Rahara area is positive.
