Two new weather warnings have been issued for the Shannonside Northen Sound region as Storm Francis is set to make landfall tonight.
Met Eireann has issued a status orange rainfall warning for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan ,Donegal, Wexford, Cork, Kerry and Waterford that is due to kick in from 9pm tonight until 5pm tomorrow evening.
It's expected between 40 to 60mm of rain could fall in these Orange alert areas and potentially more on higher ground.
A yellow warning also comes into place at the same time for counties Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Meath, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Wicklow, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.
The intense rainfall associated with Storm Francis is expected to lead to accumulations of 30 to 50mm in these counties with surface flooding in places.
A yellow wind warning has also been issued for southern counties.
Met Eireann's Elizabeth Coleman says they have updated information about the storm.
