A march planned for Longford town this Saturday on the “Black Lives Matter” theme has been postponed.
The march had been planned to show support for the campaign in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd in the US and organisers said they would be marking out social distancing spots on the roads so that people could take part in the event safely.
A statement issued yesterday evening though has said the march has been postponed “due to the concerns of the local community about Covid-19”.
