25 people in Roscommon have been waiting over a year for enhanced home support schemes.
Figures requested from the HSE Health Forum West by Councillor Tony Ward show 106 people currently waiting for the supports.
The HSE Home Support Service aims to support older people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible and to support carers.
The break down from the Saolta Hospital Group shows 86 of 106 clients waiting for enhanced services are in the South Roscommon area.
Two service users have been waiting up to 3 months for initial supports, while 42 people are on waiting lists for enhanced services.
Close to 30 people have been waiting between 3 and 9 months for the receipt of enhanced home support, with a further 9 waiting up to a year.
