Over 12,000 people are currently unemployed in the Shannonside Northern Sound Region.
Updated figures for July released by the CSO show 12,098 people on the live register at the end of last month.
Cavan has the highest unemployment rate of the region at 3,275, 329 of those under the age of 25.
2,479 people are on the register in Monaghan with 256 of those under 25.
Longford and Roscommon share similar figures with 2,257 and 2,226 people signing on in July with a total of just over 500 of those between 18 and 25.
Leitrim recorded the lowest numbers locally, with 1,811 people registering as unemployed last month.
Nationally, 195,095 people are currently on the live register in Ireland.
