Over 160 complaints were made to Irish Rail last year regarding overcrowding on trains in the Shannonside Northern Sound Region.
They were part of 1,800 complaints across two services in the region from Dublin to Galway and to Athlone.
Overcrowding was a major issue, with 5 further complaints made over concerns with the potential spread of Covid.
Heating or lack there of, also affected passengers as 25 commuters contacted Irish Rail to complain about carriages being too hot or cold.
19 people were unhappy with how power cuts had affected train schedules.
