The annual Dublin City Marathon is taking place in the capital today.
There are numerous road closures around the city today to facilitate the 26.2 mile course.
The first group of runners took off from Fitzwilliam Street Upper at 8:40am.
Over 20,000 people will be running today's marathon, including thousands who are travelling to Dublin from 50 countries to take part.
Danny Downey is among the 21 members of the Roscommon Harriers Athletics Club who are participating.
Speaking to Shannonside News ahead of the race, Danny said he was excited to have a second go at the Dublin marathon:
