Over 200 people listed as homeless in the Shannonside region

Over 200 people are now listed as homeless in the Shannonside region. According to the latest Department of Housing report, 204 people in the region accessed emergency accommodation in January. The Mayo/Roscommon region registered the highest figure at 109.

65 people accessed emergency accommodation in Westmeath during this period, followed by 17 in Longford, and 13 in Leitrim. These figures represent some of the highest to date, as national homeless figures reach a record high. Nationally, 13,500 people were homeless in January, the highest figure to date.
