Over 200 volunteers in Dublin are preparing to hand out festive meals, as the 99th Christmas Day Dinner at the RDS gets underway.
The free meal is offered to the homeless, poor and lonely of Ireland on Christmas Day.
The event is organised by the Knights of St. Columbanus, with volunteers from across the country having registered to help out.
The three-course meal will be provided to up to 550 people on December 25th.
Andrea Iadarola, Communication Officer at the Christmas Day Dinner, says their volunteers come from all backgrounds:
